If Smartwatches are for you, then you have got to have the Pebble Smartwatch.
The company that gained its popularity when they raised nearly $10-Million (R90-Million) on Kickstarter last year has now become the chosen company for Smart Watches.
The Pebble Smartwatch’s key features is what makes it stand out from its competitors.
Pebble is claimed to be very light on the arm and the only smart watch that uses an e-ink display. Along with this, Eric Migicovsky, the creator of Pebble has stated that on a single charge that takes a few hours, the watch will last for 7 days! It charges using a magnetic charger that snaps onto the side of the watch, instead of using a microUSB like others do.
The screen is not controlled by touch, but has a navigation system that uses buttons placed on the side of the device. This allows for easy browsing through the menus, and switching between emails, text messages and calls hassle-free. With regard to apps, Pebble only has custom watch faces, but is said to launch a number of apps quite soon.
RunKeeper, even though it has been rumoured before, has announced that there will be an app update for iOS and Android that integrates with the watch, so that runners may track their activity and performance.
